Transdev Western Canada is looking for a Talent Acquisition Specialist (6-month contract) to join our head office in Calgary
Reporting to the Director of Human Resources, you will be a key player in achieving Transdev's business objectives. We are looking for a motivated individual to join our team for a 6-month contract.


Your role

  • Acting as a strategic and operational advisor to the team to appropriately target their needs and fill multiple positions in an optimal manner
  • Developing and updating compelling job descriptions tailored to the various positions in the organization
  • Leveraging a network of professional contacts that will provide you with the agility you need to fill open corporate and operations specific positions in a unionized environment
  • Identify hiring needs by meeting with managers to ensure recruitment efforts are aligned with business goals
  • Implementing policies, tools, processes, and a resource library to improve the recruitment & selection processes
  • Drafting analytical and documented recruiting reports for stakeholders
  • Ensuring compliance of the recruitment process with provincial labour relations laws, policies and procedures
  • Occasionally travelling to sites across Western Canada for discussions with hiring managers

Your profile

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in talent acquisition
  • Proficient in recruitment, networking and social media platforms such as LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, and Indeed
  • Solid planning, coordination, negotiation, and organizational skills
  • Ability to be resourceful, proactive and anticipate partners' needs
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills and desire to provide a positive experience to all stakeholders involved in the hiring process
  • Experience working in the transport sector (an asset)
  • Postsecondary education or certification in Human Resources (considered an asset).
