Responsibilities

  • Facilitate and run effective meetings
  • Requirement elicitation from stakeholders via workshops
  • Business process modeling of the current and tobe state
  • Requirement analysis, defining all types of requirements to define the business need
  • Requirements management and prioritization
  • Organize and coordinate stakeholder engagement
  • System integration analysis, including creating system interface specifications
  • Data analysis and design, creating logical data models and specifying lookups
  • Solution design and prototyping; creating user interface specifications
  • Be familiar with standard BA techniques as defined in the BABOK
  • Engage business stakeholders and write formal documentation such as business cases, requirements definition specifications, project glossaries, nonfunctional requirements specifications and communication plans
  • Engage developers and solution implementer and write formal technical documentation such as request for proposals (RFP), test cases, technical specifications and technical models

Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Commerce or equivalent
  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in business analysis in an enterprise environment
  • Working understanding of enterprise system infrastructure
  • Working understanding of business analysis processes and documentation requirements for improving an organization's processes and/or procedures
  • Microsoft Office tools including: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio
  • Image editing software (i.e., GIMP, Snag It, etc.)
  • Using business process modelling and diagramming techniques such as BPMN
  • Familiar with standard BA techniques as defined in the BABOK
  • Experience in Project Management, Project Coordination or Change Management
  • Federal Public Sector experience, proficiency in both English and French and a Federal Government security clearance are considered strong assets.
