Description

Dragados Canada, Inc., the Canadian construction arm of the ACS Group (one of the world's largest international construction and engineering companies), is seeking a talented and eager Scheduler to join its dynamic and energetic team.


Dragados Canada was established in 2008 and has grown steadily into an industry leader in Canada, with offices in Toronto, Vancouver and Montreal, successfully performing a variety of large-scale transportation, bridge, dam, tunnel, and other major infrastructure projects.


Responsibilities

  • Populate schedules with resource and cost information
  • Update, maintain and revise monthly and weekly schedules and reports with the construction teams
  • Evaluate schedule progress, compare and report on comparisons of monthly schedules
  • Perform any changes, delays and/or accelerations to a specific construction section/WBS
  • Identify warnings and risks to the project for the purpose of mitigating the impact of these risks
  • Analyze monthly schedules and prepare reports for the purpose of dispute resolution issue
  • Interact with the project team and task managers to define the scope of work to develop and update detailed schedules, cost information and identification of variances from the original plan
  • Evaluate project schedule progress and performance and identify developing problem areas
  • Analyze critical paths and constraints to determine the effect of changes to schedule and recommend workaround
  • Perform other job duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or Civil Engineering or any related discipline.
  • PEng., PMP or PSP designations will be considered an asset
  • 45 years of experience in the heavy civil construction is preferred
  • Site experience on heavy civil construction sites is required
  • Experience as a Scheduler will be considered as an asset
  • Project controls, engineering/procurement/construction/systems scheduling experience is required
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook) and any other analytical software programs
  • Experience with Primavera P
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Fluency in French will be considered as asset
  • Adaptable and flexible to an everchanging environment
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Ability to work longer hours on occasion in order to close of the monthly end progress
