Nootka Marine Adventures is a leading resort operator dedicated to sustainable adventure tourism on the west coast of Vancouver Island.

We host guests from around the world and love to share our passion for saltwater sportfishing and other outdoor adventures.

Our focus is to grow a new generation of passionate anglers by teaching families and youth to fish.


The Reservations Sales Agent is responsible for facilitating the sales and booking of reservations for accommodation and activities at all Nootka Marine Adventures locations.

The Reservations Sales Agent will work in our head office in Courtenay, BC, and will report to the Sales Manager.


  • At least 2 years' experience in a guest services and/or sales role
  • Outstanding customer service skills
  • Excellent telephone manner, communication skills, and etiquette
  • High level of emotional intelligence
  • Flexibility and ability to multitask and problemsolve
  • Techsavvy and proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
  • Familiarity with west coast saltwater fishing (preferred)
  • Familiarity with the tourism and hospitality industry (preferred)

What you'll be doing:


  • Keeping a record of quotes and sales leads and following up professionally and effectively
  • Building reservations in accordance with sales and deposits procedures
  • Using property booking software (Smart Hotel and Maestro)
  • Maintaining guest records and financial statements
  • Processing payments for reservations
  • Making outgoing sales calls and following up with past guests
  • Relaying guest information to various properties and departments
  • Completing dayend settlement reports and communicating with the accounting department
  • Greeting visitors to the office and providing information and/or booking assistance
  • Assisting with other administrative tasks, as required

Schedule:


  • Seasonal contract starting in February and ending September 30, 202
  • Fulltime, 8hour shift
  • Weekend shifts
  • Weekly schedule to be determined
