Role Summary


As a Human Resources Specialist you will play a crucial role in supporting our HR department in various functions, including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, and HR administration.

You will be responsible for ensuring compliance with employment laws and regulations while promoting a positive employee experience.

This position is being offered as part time, two days a week with the opportunity to work on-site and remotely.


Role Responsibilities

Employee Relations:


  • Provide guidance and support to employees and managers on HR policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Address employee concerns and complaints in a timely and confidential manner, escalating issues as needed.
  • Conduct investigations into employee relations issues and recommend appropriate solutions or disciplinary actions.

Performance Management:


  • Assist in the implementation and administration of performance management processes, including goal setting, performance reviews, and development planning.
  • Monitor and track employee performance metrics, providing analysis and recommendations for improvement.

HR Administration:


  • Maintain accurate employee records and HR databases, ensuring data integrity and confidentiality.
  • Process employee changes, such as promotions, transfers, and terminations, in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Generate HR reports and analytics to support decisionmaking and compliance efforts.

Compliance:


  • Stay uptodate on federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, ensuring compliance in all HR practices and activities.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies, procedures, and initiatives to support legal compliance and best practices.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in human resources roles, with a focus on employee relations, and HR administration.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels of the organization.
  • Proven problemsolving and decisionmaking abilities, with a focus on providing practical and effective solutions.
  • Highly organized and detailoriented, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fastpaced environment.
  • Proficiency in HRIS systems and MS Office Suite.
