You willbe part of our research and development department which has a strong focus onincreasing fuel flexibility such as hydrogen and biofuel.

In your role asCombustion Specialist you will contribute to the design and operation ofrobust, reliable and highly efficient combustion systems as well as providing day-to-daysupport for our sales and service organizations.

You will be involved in thehighest level of troubleshooting, failure investigation and leading improvementprojects, taking an active role in our high level support to serviceorganizations and existing fleets.

To achieve this you'll use both commercial andproprietary calculation tools to analyse data and develop new improvedcombustion components.


How You'll Make an Impact

  • You will be involved throughout the development process, fromconcept through to final design
  • You will guide development tests and evaluate resulting data,using this to develop new methods and working practices
  • Based on your work you will propose changes to the engineconfiguration to improve combustion dynamics and emissions, particularly forcompatibility with green fuel where your keen ability to analyse and proposechanges will help the team to improve machine performance
  • You will have the opportunity to build a large interdisciplinary networkthat stretches across the globe, from Europe to North America and Asia,spanning people working across the full spectrum from new equipment to servicesupport

What You Bring

  • You have a Master'sdegree or PhD in mechanical engineering, chemistry, physics or energy
  • You have great problemsolving skills and appreciate working in a team where you get to be part ofdeveloping and streamlining
  • Applied combustionexperience and gas turbine experience is advantageous
  • Curiosity to learn andtry new methods based on fluid mechanics principles.

Our Gas Servicesdivision offers Low-emission power generation through service anddecarbonization. Zero or low emission power generation and all gas turbinesunder one roof, steam turbines and generators.
