We operate like a start-up within one of Canada's largest insurance and financial institutions.


We are looking for an energetic Paid Media specialist to Join our growing digital marketing team at Canada Life reporting to the Associate Manager, Paid Media.

Showcase your expertise in performance marketing by leading the management of campaigns across a multitude of paid channels with varying budgets.

You'll be managing paid acquisition tactics and strategies that will display your expertise in digital marketing and paid media.

What you will do

  • Create, execute and optimize paid search, display, and paid social campaigns, with a focus on increasing ROI to meet campaign objectives
  • Manage PPC marketing campaigns across all paid media platforms from Google AdWords, Microsoft, Facebook/Instagram etc., for multiple campaigns
  • Perform ongoing keyword research, identify new opportunities for ongoing PPC campaigns as well as optimizing existing campaigns
  • Analyze campaign results and adjust tactics to improve/develop campaigns using data to evaluate testing and drive performance
  • Optimize campaigns based on A/B testing including ad copy and landing page elements to determine learnings or scalings
  • Identify user journeys and conversion path and optimize online conversion funnels
  • Manage campaign expenses, calculating budget forecasts, estimating monthly costs and reconciling discrepancies with accounts payable team
  • Evaluate new opportunities and new functionality through betas, provide thought leadership and perspective for adoption where appropriate
  • Collaborate with & manage 3rd party digital marketing agencies and other vendor partners
  • Communicate with cross functional teams, presenting recommendations, creating internal working documents to help educate key stakeholders

What you will bring

  • 3+ years' experience in a similar paid media role
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills
  • Solid understanding of performance marketing, conversion, and online customer acquisition
  • Strong understanding of the Google Ads platform (Paid Search/SEM, Display Advertising, YouTube etc.)
  • Experience in building and actively managing internal audience lists including RLSA, Display Remarketing
  • Comprehensive understanding of Paid Social (Facebook/Instagram, LinkedIn and other platforms)
  • Google Ads, Microsoft Advertising and Meta certification as well as any other industryrelevant accreditations
  • Agile marketing certification or experience preferred
  • Experience with web analytics tools (e.g, Google Analytics GA4, Adobe Analytics, etc.)
  • Up to date with the latest trends and best practices in paid media
  • Flexible and adaptable in learning new paid media strategies & new platforms/software
  • Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript development and constraints
