We are currently searching for a
Fisheries Biologist to join our team in
Edmonton.

You have a scientific background in fisheries and aquatic ecology with an entrepreneurial spirit. You will take on a strong role in program design and implementation, project management, and client and business development.

What you will be doing:

Developing and managing relationships within our core service sectors.
Designing studies and coordinating field surveys.
Preparing high quality technical reports.
Leading municipal, provincial and federal regulatory processes.
Preparing workplans for technical programs and writing high quality proposals.
Contributing to the growth and scientific development of the company.

Job Requirements:

What you will bring:

Undergraduate degree (B.Sc.) in Fisheries Biology or other relevant sciences (graduate degree preferred).
Preference will be given to individuals registered with the Alberta Society of Professional Biologists (P. Biol.) or eligible for registration.
8+ years postgraduation experience in environmental consulting.
Project experience in fisheries, riparian and aquatic assessments, offsetting and habitat design, and stream channel processes.
Knowledge in erosion and sediment control and construction compliance an asset.
A strong understanding of relevant provincial and federal legislation, regulation and permitting processes.
Leadership, project management and client relationship skills.
Excellent communication skills and technical report writing experience.
Valid driver's license.
