We are currently searching for a
Fisheries Biologist to join our team in
Edmonton.
You have a scientific background in fisheries and aquatic ecology with an entrepreneurial spirit. You will take on a strong role in program design and implementation, project management, and client and business development.

What you will be doing:
- Developing and managing relationships within our core service sectors.
- Designing studies and coordinating field surveys.
- Preparing high quality technical reports.
- Leading municipal, provincial and federal regulatory processes.
- Preparing workplans for technical programs and writing high quality proposals.
- Contributing to the growth and scientific development of the company.
Job Requirements:
What you will bring:
- Undergraduate degree (B.Sc.) in Fisheries Biology or other relevant sciences (graduate degree preferred).
- Preference will be given to individuals registered with the Alberta Society of Professional Biologists (P. Biol.) or eligible for registration.
- 8+ years postgraduation experience in environmental consulting.
- Project experience in fisheries, riparian and aquatic assessments, offsetting and habitat design, and stream channel processes.
- Knowledge in erosion and sediment control and construction compliance an asset.
- A strong understanding of relevant provincial and federal legislation, regulation and permitting processes.
- Leadership, project management and client relationship skills.
- Excellent communication skills and technical report writing experience.
- Valid driver's license.
