We are currently searching for a
Fisheries Biologist to join our team in
Edmonton.

You have a scientific background in fisheries and aquatic ecology with an entrepreneurial spirit. You will take on a strong role in program design and implementation, project management, and client and business development.

What you will be doing:

  • Developing and managing relationships within our core service sectors.
  • Designing studies and coordinating field surveys.
  • Preparing high quality technical reports.
  • Leading municipal, provincial and federal regulatory processes.
  • Preparing workplans for technical programs and writing high quality proposals.
  • Contributing to the growth and scientific development of the company.

Job Requirements:


What you will bring:

  • Undergraduate degree (B.Sc.) in Fisheries Biology or other relevant sciences (graduate degree preferred).
  • Preference will be given to individuals registered with the Alberta Society of Professional Biologists (P. Biol.) or eligible for registration.
  • 8+ years postgraduation experience in environmental consulting.
  • Project experience in fisheries, riparian and aquatic assessments, offsetting and habitat design, and stream channel processes.
  • Knowledge in erosion and sediment control and construction compliance an asset.
  • A strong understanding of relevant provincial and federal legislation, regulation and permitting processes.
  • Leadership, project management and client relationship skills.
  • Excellent communication skills and technical report writing experience.
  • Valid driver's license.
