Wood performs consulting and EPCM services for many of Pulp and Paper clients throughout the world.

Wood currently has an exciting opportunity for a

Process Technical Specialist. Reporting to the Technical Director, Forest Industries, this position is located in our Vancouver, BC office. Travel will be required. If you have a successful track record and thrive on challenges in a fast paced environment, this is the opportunity for you.

Key Responsibilities

Evaluating and developing paper/pulp mill upgrade studies and implementation projects
Working in a multidiscipline environment throughout the project lifecycle to develop, define and deliver both small and large capital projects
Preparing and upgrading process designs
Providing process technical support to paper/pulp mills in solving daytoday problems and optimizing production processes
Managing resource allocation, proposals and client reports

Skills / Qualifications:

Undergraduate Degree in an Engineering discipline
Minimum 10 years' experience in developing and delivering projects in the Pulp and Paper industry
Field engineering, construction and commissioning experience will be a significant benefit
Experience troubleshooting and optimizing mill processes/operations will be a significant benefit
Good communication skills including excellent oral, written and presentation skills for communication with internal team, stakeholders and clients
Good planning, organizational, analytical and problemsolving skills
Ability to travel to field locations as required and maintain Class 5 driver license in a good standing
