    Located in Longueuil, on the South Shore of Montreal, this plant is not only the centre par
    excellence of the largest players in the aerospace industry for landing gear repair and
    maintenance, but also the plant that is recognized for the manufacture of the famous legs of the Apollo lunar module.

    Summary of position:

    Prepares and spray paints parts or assemblies such as: landing gear, hydraulic cylinders, detail parts, etc. Prepares various parts by carrying out identification and broaching operations, on parts to be painted or in preparation for delivery

    Main responsibilities:


    • Carry out a visual check of the part to be painted and ensure that it is well
    cleaned before proceeding with other required operations.

    • Adjusts his guns, prepares the required mixtures according to prescribed standards, cleans the parts and resolves the problems inherent in his work, usually without technical assistance.

    • Performs moderately complicated operations requiring care and attention to detail and whose
    monetary consequences are moderately high.

    • Occasionally carries out masking and unmasking operations on the various parts to be painted.

    • Prepares transparent sealant mixtures (CLEAR) and those required for sealing operations.
    cosmetic paint (touch-ups), and carries out their application using the equipment provided,
    whether manual or mechanized (brush, air brush, painting equipment, etc.) and cleans them.

    • Assembles and adjusts measuring instruments.

    • Occasionally trains and/or guides other employees in their classification
    the accomplishment of their tasks.

    • Reads and interprets instructions and standards applicable to his work, usually without technical assistance.

    • Responsible for the quality and quantity of his work, completes the information and/or documents necessary for his operation.

    • Reports to his superior any anomaly concerning his work or safety.

    • Keeps tools and workstation clean and in good order.

    • Has the personal tools necessary to carry out his work (minimum list).

    • Carry out any other similar task entrusted by the immediate superior.

    Qualifications:


    • Secondary course and one year of course in the specialty

    • Significant effort of analysis and judgment required

    • Must have a minimum list of tools
