Description

Summary of Duties
Organize and lead the weekly Sunday Service for Veteran residents and their family members

Administer Communion one Sunday per month

Provide Spiritual Care to the Veteran Residents who are part of the Sunday Protestant Service community

Participate in special services in Veterans Centre i.e. Remembrance Day, Christian Religious Days i.e. Good Friday, Easter, Christmas

Qualifications/Skills
Masters Degree in Divinity or related field

A minimum of 1 Unit of Advanced Clinical Pastoral Education completed

Experience organizing and leading worship services in a Protestant Faith Tradition

Experience delivering Protestant homilies required

Experience working with a geriatric population required

Experience providing spiritual and religious care a healthcare setting

Excellent communication, interpersonal, critical thinking and time management skills

Demonstrated leadership ability

Compassionate, Person-centered and Family focused care philosophy required

Ability to work effectively with a diverse population of residents, patients, and families

Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with inter-professional teams

Effective communication skills (verbal, non-verbal and written)

Training in Grief & Bereavement work an asset
