To support this growth, we are seeking an experienced Warehouse Supervisor to become an integral part of our team.

They will be responsible for ensuring that daily operations meet and exceed performance expectations which ultimately contribute to the continued expansion and increase in the company's overall market share.

ABOUT THE ROLE:


Priorities for this role include:

• Achieving high levels of customer satisfaction through excellence in receiving, identifying, dispatching and assuring quality goods.
• Conducting daily data gathering activities by running reports and then using this data to analyze and understand KPI's and to measure and report the effectiveness of warehouse activities.
• Performing labour planning activities by assessing daily inbound and outbound volumes and determining resources required by job function.
• Interfacing with customers to address concerns, answer questions and solve problems in a timely and professional manner.
• Conferring and collaborating with other departments to maximize efficiencies and outputs.
• Identifying areas of improvement and implementing adjustments accordingly and establishing new innovative work procedures and practices.
• Overseeing and monitoring team member daily work assignments, communicating clear job expectations and following up on performance results and responsibilities, including probationary reviews and biannual performance appraisals.
• Assisting in creating and maintaining an environment that promotes positive communication within the facility as well as fostering teamwork within the operation.
• Enforcing adherence by team members to policies and procedures related to employment and Health & Safety measures.
• Maintaining a clean and safe work environment including organizing and maintaining the inventory and storage area.
• 13 years experience in logistics and warehousing
• Highschool diploma required
• Sound knowledge and experience working with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)
• Intermediate to advanced MS Office proficiency
• Solid labour planning skills
• Ability to prioritize tasks and work assignments for self and others
• Proven communication skills both verbal and written
• A proven track record for safety and good Material Handling and Forklift driving skills
• Capable of working with mínimal supervision
• Flexible and willing to work additional hours when required
• Ability to analyze and interpret data and reporting
• Working towards a logistics management certificate program or degree in Logistics/Supply Chain Management considered an asset
• Material Handling Equipment (MHE) Certification from a recognized training provider
• Excellent knowledge of shipping and receiving procedures in a pick/pack and case pick environment
• Strong interpersonal and leadership skills with previous supervisory experience considered an strong asset

Physical Demands:

• Physical requirements include: lifting (35lbs), carrying, bending, sitting, stretching, and standing for long periods of time.
