Responsibilities:


This position is responsible for opening/distributing the mail, maintaining files, ordering stationary gathering data for Payroll Stats, reporting unapproved time records and time off requests to management on a monthly basis, and monitoring, the Payroll Inquiries message line.

The PCIT will update parking, social club deductions and direct deposit information in PeopleSoft.

They will assist the Payroll Coordinators with Wage Loss letters (ICBC, WSBC, and Lawyers), data entry during payroll processing, and provides vacation/project relief.


Qualifications:

Requires Grade 12 graduation plus two (2) Canadian Payroll Association Level One courses.

Requires one (1) year of previous experience in working with a computerized pay system for a unionized work force, and where knowledge of statutory deductions has been gained.

A further period of up to six (6) months in the job is required to become familiar with CMBC's unionized payroll, procedures and policies.

Recruitment Process:

An applicant will be required to demonstrate their suitability for this position by meeting the minimum level of qualifications and experience in order to be invited into the selection process.

A standard interview format will be used including general, scenario and behavioural descriptive interview questions.


Work Schedule:

37.5 hours per week.

This position is full-time temporary to December 31, 2023.

Resident

This position works predominately on-site


Rate of Pay:

Salary starting from $4,690 to $5,628 per month (Actual salary offered will be commensurate with education, experience and internal parity)
