Employment Pathways in Canada - Health Care (EPIC-HC) The program's primary focus will be to support highly skilled, internationally educated health professionals (IEHPs) like nurses, pharmacists, and lab technicians in finding employment and completing their accreditation process in their occupations.

The program is designed to help IEHPs transition and integrate into job placements and employment opportunities in the healthcare sector.

At the same time, the project will support their accreditation process in their intended healthcare occupation in Ontario and Alberta.

The program will help IEHPs attain entry-level positions as nurse aides, PSWs, pharmacy technicians, and pharmacy assistants while supporting them in completing their licensing pathway in Canada.

Funded by Economic & Social Development Canada (ESDC), the project encourages the relocation and settlement of IEHPs in Canada's rural and understaffed areas.

This will meet the needs of underserved communities and simultaneously address labour market shortages in the vital healthcare professions.

IEHPs will receive support in navigating the foreign credential recognition process, including career and licensure pathways and employment goals that reflect their experience, skill, and expertise.

This project will also work with employers to improve access to employment and retention in the workplace and workplace inclusivity.
