Description

  • The Systems Technician is responsible for providing technical support for workstation hardware and software.
This includes installing, configuring, troubleshooting, repairing and maintaining various workstation technologies in a corporate environment.


Technical Skills:


  • Proficient in troubleshooting issues on Windows and MacOS
  • Ability to Install, configure and resolve hardware issues with Desktops, Laptops, Printers and peripherals.
  • Set up and troubleshoot basic network configurations, including IP addressing, DHCP, DNS, routers, switches, and cabling
  • Strong problemsolving skill to find and resolve hardware and software issues efficiently remotely and onsite.
  • Ability to work independently
  • Knowledge and experience in remote desktop tools such as Sophos Connect and Sonicwall Netextender are considered a plus
  • Adherence to security protocols and awareness of cybersecurity best practices when dealing with hardware and software configurations
  • Implement and troubleshoot backup solutions and aid with data recovery processes
  • Provide support for smartphones, tablets and other mobile devices, including configuration and troubleshooting.
  • Manage and troubleshoot Active Directory issues, including user accounts, group policies and permissions.
  • Experience with Email systems (e.g., Microsoft 365, Gmail, Microsoft Exchange)
  • Proficient in performing hardware upgrades, including memory, hard drives, graphics cards, etc.
  • Knowledge of cable management best practices for a clean and organized setup.

Experience:


  • Education: Certificate or Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field preferred.
  • Preferred Information Technology Certifications. (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network +. Microsoft Azure Administrator Associate)
  • 24 Years Experience providing end user workstation hardware and software support.
