Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable, professional, and customer-focused Bus Operator to join our team. The Bus Operator will be responsible for safely transporting passengers to and from designated locations while providing excellent customer service on a daily basis. This role requires experienced drivers with strong communication skills and the ability to maintain a professional demeanor at all times. The ideal candidate will possess mechanical knowledge to assist with minor vehicle maintenance assessment and ensure the shuttle is in optimal working conditions.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate the 56-passenger motor coach buses and 24-passenger mini buses adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations in high car and pedestrian traffic areas in the downtown city core.
- Communicate effectively with passengers, providing information about routes, schedules, and local attractions.
- Maintain a clean and organized environment for passengers.
- Perform routine inspections of the vehicle, reporting any mechanical issues or maintenance needs promptly.
- Assist passengers with loading and unloading luggage or other items as necessary.
- Ensure timely arrivals and departures according to the established schedule.
- Provide exceptional customer service, addressing any passenger inquiries or concerns professionally.
Qualifications
- Valid commercial driver's license of class 1 and/or 2 stature.
- Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanor.
- Mechanical knowledge to perform basic maintenance tasks on the shuttle vehicle.
- Ability to maintain a high level of professionalism while interacting with passengers.
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays if required.
