POSITION TITLE
:
Account Manager


REPORTS TO:
President/General Manager of Operations


BASIC FUNCTION:

The Account Manager is responsible for the sale of wooden building components through the development and maintenance of customer contacts.


JOB TYPE:
Full-Time


COMPENSATION:
$50,000-$200,000 per year (base plus commission structure based on sales volume)


ESSENTIAL DUTIES:


  • Develops and maintains relationships with new and existing customers through cold calling and other sales development activities to solicit new orders.
  • Provision of quotes, purchase orders, and various sales contracts.
  • Oversees internal process from obtaining order until delivery of finished goods.
  • Uses discretion to manage and facilitate account and obtain new sales.
  • Executing sales strategies aligned with strategic business goals.
  • Maintains records regarding customer purchases, inventories, marketing trends, and preferences.
  • Coordinates with internal stakeholders to ensure customer orders are fulfilled in a timely manner.
  • Secures prompt payment from customers and assists with account receivable management.
  • Coordinates with Customer Service and Design Departments to get information for customers.
  • Staying current on market trends regarding material usage and assisting with forecasting requirements.
  • Traveling to sites to monitor and assist with the execution of projects and to resolve customer complaints.
  • Provides feedback to appropriate authorities on quality related issues so they can be rectified and eliminated.
  • Performs other duties as required.

QUALIFICATIONS:


  • Must have strong knowledge of building components and how Terra Nova differentiates itself from its competition.
  • Ability to maintain a positive disposition and work in a fastpaced environment.
  • Must possess strong interpersonal skills and possess the ability to develop work relationships with customers.
  • Experience with sales in the building components industry is an asset.
  • Experience with roof trusses, floor joists, engineered wood products, and wall panels is an asset.
  • Ability to effectively manage relationships with large clients.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in general office etiquette, legible handwriting, and telephone manners.
  • Working knowledge of office machinery, computers and business and word processing software including Word and Excel.
  • Demonstrated ability to travel extensively and operate a motor vehicle.
  • Demonstrated ability to read and interpret plans and drawings.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of MiTek software including Sapphire and Management.

Salary:
$50,000.00-$200,000.00 per year
