Vancouver Talmud Torah is hiring a Full-Time Educational Aide for the 2023/24 school year (September June 2024)

Vancouver Talmud Torah is an inclusive Jewish community day school committed to academic excellence and nurturing lifelong learners who engage the world through Jewish traditions and values.

At Vancouver Talmud Torah, we provide a stimulating and challenging educational environment infused with meaningful learning experiences. Our school serves families from a diverse range of Jewish backgrounds and religious practices.

This position will be working one on one with a student for the 2023/24 School Year. This position is full-time from September June 2024.

Qualifications:

Experience or training working with children with special education needs.
Experience supporting students with ASD is an asset.
Experience working in a school setting.
Formal education/training is an asset.

Key Responsibilities:

Including but not limited to the following:

Work with students with learning needs in an inclusive classroom setting as well as on an individual or small group basis
Maintain student records, follow IEP recommendations, and review strategies
Prepare additional resources and materials to support students with learning differences
Work with classroom teachers to help them understand the needs of students
