General Description:


The Overnight Supervisor is responsible for supervising the work activities performed by our overnight janitorial staff on site from Monday - Friday between 10:00pm - 6:30am.


Job Duties and Responsibilities:


  • The evening supervisor effectively and efficiently manages the development and direction of the overnight team to exceed client expectations.
  • Assigning janitorial duties to staff and regularly inspecting their work to ensure established standards are met.
  • Performing all janitorial duties necessary in instances of staff shortages.
  • Ensure that all compliance procedures are in place and all safety procedures are followed to avoid any accidents or incidents.
  • Ensure that safety is made a priority and that employees and managers are abiding by all electrical and Health and Safety regulations.
  • Oversee staff and train personnel.
  • Ensure that new employees are trained and oriented as appropriate for their new positions; performing followup sessions to ensure their proper fit within the company.
  • Monitor inventory of all cleaning supplies and equipment and informing management when supplies are needed.
  • Ensure that all reporting employees adhere to company policies and procedures
  • Complete logs and inspections to ensure accurate paper trail of work performed.
  • Ensure that all requirements of the Employment Standards Act are followed.
  • Perform quality assurance inspections and prepare monthly reports.
  • Monitor and inspect building for additional services or "extras."
  • Perform other duties as required.

Requirements:


  • 1+ years of supervisory or managerial experience with exposure and experience in an operations environment.
  • Sound knowledge of various cleaning methods
  • Effective leadership skills, with a strong focus on operations.
  • Effective attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy.
  • Maintains a high level of integrity, confidentially, and accountability.
  • Sound analytical thinking, planning, prioritization, and execution skills.
  • Maintains a welldefined sense of diplomacy, including solid negotiation, conflict resolution, and people management skills.
  • Ability to recruit, train and develop staff and allocate resources according to scheduling requirements.
  • Fluency in English both written and oral is mandatory, and any other languages are an asset.
  • Technical skills include; ability to use MS Office suite of software,
  • A clear criminal background is a job requirement

$18.00-$21.50 per hour
