Gas Station Manager for Husky and Esso


Coast Salish Group is seeking a highly motivated and organized Assistant Gas Station Manager for its business entity Ivy Green Petroleum Services.

Ivy Green Petroleum Services operates a Husky and an Esso gas station, located just north of Ladysmith. We are looking for an Gas Station Manager to support the daily operation.


Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

The Gas Station Manager is required to perform a range of duties including, but not limited to:
Vendor and Inventory Management

  • Maintaining store inventory, ordering, and monitoring receiving goods
  • Monitoring all inventory control processes
  • Implement controls
  • Building strong business relationships with vendors
Merchandising

  • Determine merchandise and services to be sold, and implement price and credit policies
  • Displaying and rotating merchandise in an effort to maximize sales opportunities
  • Pricing
  • Building store image
  • Minimizing waste and pilferage
Human Resources

  • Managing and training employees
  • Recruiting, hiring and training
  • Managing employee schedules
  • Reviewing time cards and running payroll
  • Developing new procedures and policies
  • Motivating, developing, and directing staff
Reporting

  • Reporting monthly progress to CEO
  • Month End reporting

Required Experience/Skills/Qualifications:

Minimum 7 years retail experience, with at least 2 years in a management position, preference given to people with gas station experience

  • Experience managing staff in a supervisory position, including hiring and training
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Extenisiuve knowledge working in both Fuel and POS computer systems
  • Selfstarter; Ability to work with minimum supervision, be selfmotivated
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, conveying information effectively
  • Good computer skills, especially MS Office
  • Strong problem solving skills
  • Willingness to work "on call", or varied hours
  • Potential opportunity to grow into Manager position
  • Desire to be part of a performancedriven team
