- Act as structural lead and designer for small to medium-sized engineering assignments, with intent to develop skills towards a future discipline lead/project manager role for larger projects
- Attend site visits related to pre-design information gathering, construction, and post-construction review
- Coordinate work with other disciplines including highway/road, electrical, drainage, and environmental planning
- Analysis, evaluate appropriate design solutions, and design of transportation structures including bridges, culverts, retaining walls, and foundation
- Direct CAD team for drawing preparation and review deliverables prior to submission to the client
- Prepare and review technical reports, tender documents, and cost estimates
- Provide tender evaluations and/or construction engineering services
- Work within assigned project budgets and schedules
- Mentor junior staff with regards to project work
- Interest in working both in the office and the field environment
- Valid driver's license and access to a vehicle
- Strong computer skills, including experience with CAD and SAP2000, CSiBridge, SFRAME
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong interpersonal and presentation skills
- Able to work in a team environment and excel in both bridge and multi-disciplined projects
- Organized and detail-oriented
- Ability to mentor technical development of others

Responsibilities
Qualifications
Education: B.ASc. or B.Eng. in Civil/Structural Engineering, with a strong interest and experience in structures, particularly bridges.
Certification: P.Eng. status and a minimum of 6 years of proven experience in design using Canadian codes and design standards.
