Our Engineering team is looking for an Agile Coach who will guide our teams on how to use lean and Agile values, principles and practices to support our teams in their quest for continuous improvement and self-organization.

What you'll do:

  • Act as a mentor to Engineering managers and Product Managers, with the ultimate goal of helping them appreciate each other's roles, create a valuable partnership and work together optimally with the teams
  • Coach product teams in the development of longterm product planning/roadmap and help them work with the development teams to translate that into the team's product backlog
  • Participate in improving the team's development practices, to ensure sustainability, security, and efficiency of the code base
  • Coach teams on how to remove complex roadblocks and impediments to change and delivery
  • Help set up appropriate metrics concerning team throughput (e.g. ontime delivery) to inform and influence initiatives
  • Build a collaborative, trusting and safe environment across agile teams, fostering open communication to help surface/remove constraints, structure cohesive retrospectives and promote creativity within the team
  • Foster an environment where failures represent learning opportunities, with an emphasis on problem solving
  • Coordinate and chair the biweek Product Review meetings.

What you'll need:

  • Significant experience (five or more years) coaching multiple teams at the same time and leadership in Agile methodologies in a web or software development environment
  • A technical background in web or software development, or otherwise a sophisticated understanding of product development and delivery in this context
  • An exceptional talent for coaching individuals and teams; the ability to ask the right questions and to provide specific and timely feedback, seeking to encourage individuals/teams to take ownership of their growth
  • Strong communication skills; a communication style that resonates with and inspires listeners, and an effective use of Agile terminology to foster a common understanding of these concepts
  • A firm belief in "people before process," where the latter has value, but the former has more; an emphasis on humanizing management techniques, and the constant evaluation of whether processes truly support people and solve their problems
  • Experience using metrics/OKRs to measure the impact of organizational change initiatives
  • A devotion to continuous selfimprovement; a voracious appetite for learning new things, and a strong presence in the greater Agile community
