Corp-talent Acquisition Specialist - Winnipeg, Canada - Winpak Ltd

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES:
- Develop a strategic and Innovative sourcing strategies that include:
- Partnering with secondary and post-secondary education to build alliances and workplace practicum and internship experience that augment the educational process and build Winpak's talent pool, and diverse employment relationships.
- Develop a tool kit for campus recruiting and career fairs that can be used by BU recruiters.
- Work directly with community groups to source diverse talent, identify obstacles to employment and provide innovative solutions to overcome the obstacles.
- Develop recruiting collateral with key messaging to assist recruiters in recruiting events.
- Collaborate with the leadership team to understand and execute a talent strategy particularly as it relates to current and future talent needs.
- Develop, refine, and optimize talent attraction and marketing plan within highly competitive markets.
- Introduce and manage assessments tools and other innovations to improve the quality of new hires.
- Provide contract administration for the use of employment agencies.
- Maximize the use of social media, internal communications and print to communicate Winpak's brand.
- Monitor and analysis recruitment metrics.
- Optimize technology including applicant tracking, and Winpak's onboarding platforms.
- Partner with Business units to coordinate virtual recruitment events, sourcing initiatives and talent attraction campaigns.
PROFESSIONAL RELATIONSHIPS:
- Works closely with the HR teams, business unit leadership and employee groups including union leadership
WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Remote or hybrid remote depending on location
- Most of the communications and meetings are conducted virtually. There may be limited travel
- Must have a valid passport
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education
- Post secondary education in Human Resources, social sciences and or relation fields
Experience
- 5 to 8 years' experience in corporate recruiting and talent acquisition in multiple locations and countries, preferably in a manufacturing setting
- A combination of education and experience will be considered
Abilities
- Keenly aware of business thought leaders, trending people practices as they related to Employment standards at the Federal, State/Provincial legislation.
- Excellent presentation skills and strong followthrough with ongoing communication to various stakeholders.
- Proficiency with applicant tracking and onboarding software.
- Experienced with workforce planning and succession planning software. Proficient in Microsoft MS Excel, PowerPoint, applicant tacking systems, social media, LinkedIn, Indeed Search, Facebook, etc.
- Selfstarter and selfdirected. Can work with minimum supervision.
