What will I be doing?

Reporting directly to the Purchasing Manager, the
Buyer will be responsible for generating purchase orders using an internal procurement system, ensuring purchase orders are sent out to vendors meeting order deadlines, finding alternative vendors when items are out of stock and communicating delays/alternatives with team members, managing item inventory cards, and SKU numbers, and resolving purchase order and invoice errors.


What are we looking for?

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a role with purchasing & inventory control
  • Strong computer skills sufficient to use purchasing software and inventory spreadsheets and Microsoft Office Suite including Excel, Word and Outlook.
  • English language proficiency sufficient to communicate verbally and in writing with vendors, and team members
  • Must possess excellent time management abilities with a focus on meeting deadlines
  • Highly energetic and assertive with strong leadership skills
  • Strong communication skills and excellent negotiation skills
  • Understands inventory turnover, fill rates, and indepth understanding of market
  • Ability to maintain and control a departmentwide budget.
  • Excellent analytical and reporting skills

Requirements:


  • Must be able to complete a Criminal Background Check to the hotel's satisfaction.
