Specific Duties:
- Reviewing operator's daily paperwork to ensure compliance with provincial and federal regulations as well as corporate and business partner requirements.
- Coaching operators to ensure maintenance policies and procedures are followed and all units are being maintained on a daily/weekly basis.
- Responsible for training new operators and ensuring all operators are competent before operating solo or advancing to Hydrovac Operator Level 2. Mentoring operators when issues arise in the field.
- Inspecting Hydrovac units on a weekly basis to ensure necessary maintenance is being performed.
- Maintain inventory of Hydrovac unit tools and materials and PPE and order as required.
- Delivery of material to units in the field if necessary.
- Perform weekly onsite safety and compliance inspections.
- Creating work orders for required maintenance and monitoring them via the work order tracker.
- Performing small maintenance on trucks or training operators on how to do based on list of required items on board and in operator onboard checklist.
- Assisting Operations Manager with daily dispatch, adjusting where necessary to provide optimal customer service to clients.
- Maintaining the monthly maintenance records for each hydrovac unit
Qualifications:
- A DZ driver's license is the minimum requirement needed.
- Must have and maintain a clean driver's abstract and CVOR
- Must possess and exhibit strong safety acumen and demonstrate safe work practices
- Previous hydrovac, trucking, vacuum truck or other related experience preferred
- Mechanical inclination is a requirement
- Must be able to work independently with mínimal supervision
- First Aid, CSTS, H2S, Fall Protection, Confined Space, OSSA, W.H.M.I.S, Ground Disturbance, and Electrical Awareness are preferred
- Operate Southview Group's equipment in a safe and professional manner
- Properly document all Company, Federal, Provincial and Customer documentation/paperwork as required by law and or established policy in a clear and legible manner
- Able to effectively and professionally communicate with onsite customer representatives
Essential Physical Functions:
- Hear and distinguish emergency signals and instructions while on duty
- Must be able to repetitively sit, lift, stoop, bend, squat, kneel, reach and crawl
- Must be able to repeatedly lift a minimum of 50 pounds
- Must be able to work in all outdoor elements (rain, snow, heat) for extended periods of time
- Confined Space Entry may be required to accomplish tasks for some clients when applicable
- Be able to wear PPE (Personal Protective Equipment)
- Must be able to climb ladders, and work from stationary platforms from elevated heights
- Must be capable of working extended hours and variable shifts
- Must be eligible to work in Canada
Salary:
$30.00-$35.00 per hour
