    Organizational Description: Swim Natation Manitoba's main goal is to lead, promote, and deliver competitive swimming for everyone, bringing dynamism, collaboration, and partnerships to elevate swimming in Manitoba to international recognition.

    Volunteer Opportunity Details

    • Volunteer Opportunity ID: 4529
    • Description of Duties:
      • Candidates for election to the Board of Directors of Swim Natation Manitoba must be qualified and skilled leaders committed to providing effective guidance to SNM.
      • If elected, candidates agree to follow the Board & Committee Code of Conduct.
      • Swim Manitoba values diverse representation on the board to reflect the province's population.
    • Skills Required:

        3. Accounting and Account Management
        4. Risk Management
        5. Marketing, Communications
        6. Sponsorship and Fundraising
        7. Competitive Speed Swimming
      • SNM welcomes all qualified applicants.
    • Skills Gained/Related Careers:
      • Roberts Rules of Order usage
      • Policy development
      • Planning and Budgeting
      • Event and Marketing
      • Experience in Not-for-Profit sector
    • Age: 18-30, 31-54, 55+
    • Time Commitment: Evening, Weekend, Remote Volunteering
      Virtual and in-person participation in 8 Board meetings annually, with the opportunity for committee involvement. 3-year term.
      Meeting durations vary based on topics and season, also attendance at the annual award celebration and future Annual General Meetings.
