Job Description:
Automation Technician & Panel Builder (Full-time)


As a Panel Builder & Automation Technician, your hands on trades skills will be utilized to build clean, well tested and professionally installed automation equipment.

Automation Technicians are the backbone that take the designs from engineering to reality; engineering will equally listen to recommendations to adapt and evolve our standards for ease of building and installation.

Projects will range from small service trips up to multi-million dollar projects with teams.

In this role, you will be responsible for laying out and building panels according to schematics as well as machine wiring and installation support.

Experienced individuals will be a part of large installation and leading electrical contractors on site.


The machines we work on range from small special purpose assembly machines to large converting machines, no two projects are ever the same.

This is not a maintenance position. We operate in a fast-paced, high empowerment workplace so self-motivated individuals looking for a challenge, this is for you.


Required skills and experience:


  • Electrical certification/training within the province of Ontario
  • Strong ability to read electrical schematics
  • Knowledge regarding ESA requirements for building equipment in the province of Ontario
  • Tools for electrical work including, but not limited to, panel building, machine wiring, testing, and commissioning
  • A safetyfirst mindset
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to work alone or in groups
  • Ability to Travel (International) up to 2 weeks at a time
  • Located within 45 minutes of our office (Brantford, Ontario)

Education

  • Ontario Electrician certificate, preferably 442a license

All applicants must be able to perform the following tasks as an automation specialist

  • Walk up to 5 km per day
  • Lift up to 50 lbs
  • Stand and work at heights (training will be provided if required)
  • Work in confined spaces (training will be provided if required)
  • React quickly to sounds
  • Wear protective gear, including safety shoes, glasses, vests, and masks as required

$36.00-$41.00 per hour
