Caretakers - On Call Casual

Working under the Senior Caretaking Manager/designate, Caretakers are responsible for performing general custodial services and related duties as assigned in a timely process, in order to ensure the buildings and facilities are maintained in a healthy, safe and sanitary manner.

Duties include but are not limited to - use of various cleaning equipment, vacuuming, spot cleaning, damp and dry dusting, polishing, sweeping, mopping floors, disposing of garbage, cleaning washrooms, replacing lightbulbs.

These positions are designed to replace absent employees. There is no guarantee of_

- hours. Applicants _
_must be __available 6 days per week _**_and work a variety of shifts_
- (morning, afternoon, and nights)_ including weekends._

Required Knowledge and Skills:

Minimum of Grade 10 completion, plus a Building Service Worker Certificate from a recognized college/institution is required.
You must have the ability to meet the physical requirements of the position including climbing ladders and scaffolds and some heavy lifting.

This is an on-call casual unionized position which offers $25.90 an hour plus 16% in lieu of benefits.
