Pillar5 Pharma Inc., an industry leading Canadian CDMO specializing in off-the-shelf sterile pharmaceuticals for the North American market, has an opening for a Warehouse Manager in Arnprior, ON.

The Warehouse Manager will coordinate the activities of the warehouse to deliver on the company's key objectives, ensuring that shipping, receiving, storage, and picking operations are performed to protect warehouse contents against loss and damage.

You will organize and collaborate effectively with all shared resource teams such as Finance, Customer Service, Procurement and Project teams on improvements and solutions to drive efficiency and best practices while managing costs effectively.


RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Managing warehouse in compliance with company's policies and vision.
  • Plan, organize, staff and control resources in accordance with organizational demands.
  • Setting up layout and ensure efficient space utilization for all warehouse locations.
  • Initiate, coordinate, and enforce optimal operational policies and procedures.
  • Adhere to all warehousing, handling, and shipping legislation requirements.
  • Ensure a safe and orderly work environment, enforcing safety protocols.
  • Overseeing receiving, shipping, warehousing, and maintenance of warehouse operations.
  • Interacts primarily with the warehouse and materials team also with crossfunctional teams such as Quality Operations, Manufacturing Operations, Engineering Services, and Project team, Facilities and Maintenance.
  • Work closely with Customer Advocacy manager / shipper to track customer orders weekly to ensure changes to promisedby dates are communicated to the customer immediately.
  • Manage and improve operational practices for warehouse and delivery teams to modernize processes and optimize operational efficiencies including updating of department SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures), workflow, and processes.
  • Assume responsibility for leased and owned vehicles / lift trucks and ensure regular maintenance, regulatory compliance, and contract negotiations / renewals.
  • Ensures accurate and complete inventory control through cycle counting management.
  • Provide reports for inventory levels and delivery dates to appropriate parties as required.
  • Monitors space requirements in the warehouse on a regular basis to ensure efficient use of inventory locations.
  • Coordinates the disposal of all Reject and Hazardous Waste material with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Recruit, select, orient, coach and develop the team to meet / exceed organizational and personal goals.
  • Plan, organize, staff and control resources in accordance with organizational demands for carrying out the departmental mandate.
  • Respond to afterhours emergency issues as needs arise.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:


  • Proven work experience as a Warehouse Manager minimum 5 years' experience.
  • Forklift certification and experience (considered an asset).
  • Expertise in warehouse management procedures and best practices.
  • Demonstrated experience running multisite warehouse operations.
  • Detailoriented and able to manage multiple facets of warehouse operations simultaneously.
  • Adaptable in a changing environment.
  • Proven ability to implement process improvement initiatives.
  • Demonstrated people management, coaching and leadership skills and ability to manage a team of 810 employees.
  • Strong decisionmaking skills.
  • Grade 12 diploma, postsecondary education is preferred.
  • Experience building out new facilities/operations.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Computer literate with Microsoft Office programs and a comprehensive working knowledge of SAP
  • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple priorities in a fastpaced environment.
  • Demonstrated logistics and custom knowledge.

$37,987.56-$93,763.89 per year
