Position Description


Reporting to the Executive Director, the Maintenance Manager will oversee the entire engineering and building component of each location building project.

They will manage a team of engineering officers and collaborating with other teams such as contractors and designer to ensure that the storefront is completed according to the company's vision.

The overall objective of the Maintenance/Engineering Manager is to ensure that the projects are completed within a specified timeline and pre-determined budget.


Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop and review comprehensive project plans and specifications that outline the scope and timeline of the build.
  • Plan a budgetary proposal and adapting it as the project progresses to ensure that it finishes within budget.
  • Supervise the work of multiple teams to ensure that work is done correctly and keep stakeholders in the project informed of its progress.
  • Collaborate with the interior designer and Project Manager to ensure that the new store development project is completed according to predetermined needs and aesthetics.
  • Execute and adapt strategies for completing projects on time.
  • Manage vendor contracts and help ensure that the appropriate building permits are attained.
  • Hire contractors and building teams.
  • Provide clear and concise instructions to engineering officers, who will be doing general maintenance and repairing for stores.
  • Must be able to travel across Ontario, occasionally Ottawa and Quebec when needed.
  • Work in the store as a cashier/barista 2 to 3 times a week.

  • Bachelor's degree in the engineering field
  • 3+ years of engineering project management experience, with experience in overseeing food and beverage storefront projects preferred
  • Ability to interpret blueprints and strong understanding of the technical and mechanical skills related to this field
  • Proven supervisory, interpersonal, and technical skills
  • Exceptional ability to work under pressure and time constraints
  • Ability to think outsidethebox to solve problems on the go
  • Excellent communications skills (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills
  • Strong time management, organization, and leadership skills

Job Types:
Full-time, Permanent


Salary:
$80,000.00-$100,000.00 per year
