Description

  • RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Perform shell egg Third Party Verification services according to standards and specific protocols, with direction from the Program Manager and egg industry partners.
  • Record opening and closing shell egg inventories at the beginning and end of each shift and submit reports in proprietary software program.
  • Verify receipt of eggs at the processing facility including checks on the quantity and quality of the shipment and complete necessary reports.
  • Complete incident reports when necessary and track appropriate corrective action follow up.
  • Ensure that equipment and office suppliers are maintained and in proper operating condition.
  • Ensure that all records, reports and photos are organized and accessible.
  • Review and update processing station standard operating procedures.
  • Perform other duties as requested to support industry partner business processes.
  • Participate in all Health and Safety training as required. Report any accidents, incidents and unsafe/hazardous conditions to the Program Manager.
  • Understand how and when to use the Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) that is located in your work area. Comply with local health and safety regulations

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Secondary diploma.
  • Minimum of one (1) year of production or QA/QC or inventory management experience in a food processing environment.
  • Knowledge and experience with food processing QA/QC plans, manuals, and procedures
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven experience with Microsoft Office programs.
  • Ability to work independently with mínimal day to day supervision.
  • Must be flexible regarding shifts and overtime and able to multitask.
  • Have a valid driver's license.
Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in egg processing environment.
  • Post Secondary Diploma or Degree in a related field.
  • Working knowledge of HACCP and inspection/auditing experience.
  • Bilingual (French/English)
