Project Manager, Community Supports Program - London Office

Hybrid Model

Temporary Full-Time - 1 year Contract

What will be your role?


The Project Manager, Community Supports Program is accountable for providing leadership for strategic projects and initiatives related to the Community Supports Programs.

The Project Manager, Community Supports Program will be based in London, Ontario and work alongside other Community Supports Program staff to develop and document standard operating procedures for multiple programs in the department.

They will also seek and develop new partnerships, tools and funding opportunities in collaboration with leaders in the Community Supports Program.

The Project Manager, Community Supports Program enhances the Community Support Programs department and organization reputation by reflecting VHA's vision, mission and core beliefs of services as well as promoting and maintaining good public relations with clients, customers and VHA staff and associates.

Key skills, experience and behaviours required for this position:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related health care discipline or business degree is preferred
  • Advanced degree, e.g. Masters Degree in Health Administration or Business Administration or equivalent ideal
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred
  • Experience working with organizations that support clients at risk of homelessness, living in poverty, with complex mental health, substance use, hoarding behaviours, trauma, social isolation, immigration, unemployment/underemployment and/or history with the criminal justice system in a community setting
  • A minimum of 3 years progressive leadership responsibility and project management, preferably in community health
  • Proven ability to build and maintain strong working relationships with multiple internal partners and stakeholders
  • Proven ability to promote a culture of collaboration
  • Experience leading and supporting project teams
  • Excellent project management skills, utilizing project planning techniques and project planning tools and templates, e.g., scope statements, project plan, work breakdown structures, lessonslearned, status reports, Gantt charts, critical path analysis, etc.
  • Proficient in developing collaborative plans with multiple stakeholders
  • Demonstrated ability to manage conflict
  • Effective problemsolving and criticalthinking skills
  • Proactively identifies project risks and recommend solutions and mitigation strategies
  • Ability to support and motivate a crossfunctional project team to deliver change with a focus on benefits realization
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
