Profile


Reporting to the Lead, Solution Delivery, theIT Business Partner will be responsible for overseeing the primary business area functions of ERP for De Havilland.

Key responsibilities include acting as the key contact and IT business partner including planning, implementing, and managing all IT processes and solution deliveries, defining clear and measurable goals and objectives as they relate to successful project execution.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Partners with business functions to deliver business enabling technology solutions.
  • Coordinate teams within IT and Business to support development, implementation to deliver first class service.
  • Communicates decisions, priorities, and relevant project information to / from leadership as it pertains to technology.
  • Acts as the primary escalation point on IT related items for the Business.
  • Manages technology related risks and opportunities pertaining to the solutions.
  • Fosters an environment of continuous improvement in the maturity of practices and processes.
  • Identifies and partners with the business units, prioritizing system changes and implementations supporting initiatives.
  • Acts as the liaison between the business unit, IT, and external providers; manages said provider relationships as required.
  • Acts as a trusted advisor within IT supporting business function and prioritization of IT efforts.
  • Manages IT project execution within / across the business unit.
  • Assign tasks to internal teams and assist with schedule management.
  • Analyze risks and opportunities.
  • Participates in supporting IT annual budget activities.
  • Assist in continuous improvement activities for an effective work intake and management process.
  • Communicate with customers concerning issue escalation and established procedures.
  • Documenting and following up on important actions and decisions from meetings
  • Manage critical issues to resolution.
  • Support the company's the vision and goals.
Education & Professional Qualifications

  • A bachelor's degree or college diploma in computer science, information science, management information systems, business administration, finance or equivalent experience and education.
  • PMI CAPM/PMP certification or relevant courses considered an asset
Experience

  • Minimum 10+ years of experience as a Systems Analyst, Project Lead, Business Analyst, or IT Project Manager.
  • Solid understanding of the Project Management methodology, processes and functions including scope, issues, risks, dependencies, financial and stakeholder management.
  • Successful at working effectively within a matrix organization with competing priorities.
