As the Configuration Management Specialist, you will be collaborating to design, implement, and manage the full lifecycle of Configuration and Service Level Management for Gore Mutual.
You will play a key role in the success of our ITSM team through identifying and leading Continuous Improvement opportunities.
Using proven methods and tools, you will participate in planning, analysis of client's needs, capture, validation and management of requirements, business processes, high-level solution design, and test case design.
You will work within the broader Gore IT team in close collaboration with client stakeholders, and technical consultants.What you'll Do:
- Design and implement processes to mange the data quality of 'undiscoverable' attributes.
- Build and maintain Application Service Models
- Work with stakeholders in IT, Project Management Office (PMO), vendors, and other business practice groups to incorporate requirements into CMDB
- Document, maintain, and update policies, procedures, and controls.
- Participate in discussions and contribute to the infrastructure practices and conventions across the company.
- Communicate and educate the organization on Configuration best practices
- Create, maintain, and enhance Configuration and Service dashboards, analytics, and reporting.
- Design and maintain reconciliation processes to ensure CMDB data quality
- Align Config KPI's to policies and report to the enterprise
- Testing of enhancements prior to moves to production, engaging the testing teams as required.
- Conduct detailed discussions with the users to determine requirements, document system enhancements or modification requests, and develop detailed project specifications.
- Ability to communicate and implement the ITIL CMDB Model
What you'll Need:
- College diploma or University degree in Computer Science or Programming is required
- 5+ years of experience with Configuration and Service level management
- 3+ years of experience in process governance and vendor management
- ITIL and ServiceNow is preferred
- Reporting experience
- Ability to prioritize multiple workstreams (strong multitasking)
- Selfmotivated and able to collaborate with other team members
- Technical acumen
