Job Summary:


Qualifications:


Required:


  • Successful completion of a recognized administrative or secretarial training program from an accredited educational institution. Combination of education and experience can be considered or the equivalent in education and experience as determined by CancerCare Manitoba
  • Proof of successful completion of 40s English course or equivalent
  • Minimum one year' experience in a secretarial position
  • Medical terminology, transcription and minute taking skills
  • Demonstrated proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook)
  • Satisfactory employment record
  • Must be able to legally work in Canada
  • Will be assessed during the interview process:_
  • Ability to work both independently and as a member of a multidisciplinary team
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, organizational, customer service and problemsolving skills
  • Ability to adapt to stressful situations
  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality

Preferred:


  • Previous experience within a health care setting
  • Experience working in a radiation oncology environment

Asset:


  • Ability to speak French
  • Previous experience with inventory control (Maintaining and ordering of supplies)
