The Opportunity:
If you have a passion for supply management and for complex contracts, we may have the ideal role for you As a Supply Management Professional, you will be responsible for the end-to-end contracting life cycle supporting operational activities of Canadian Natural's Oil Sands mines.

Key Accountabilities:
- Develop strategies in collaboration with internal stakeholders to source goods and services that provide best value to Canadian Natural
- Develop and manage contracts with international manufacturers and distributors, with complex terms and conditions and cost structures
- Create procurement plans, RFPs, award recommendations and contracts
- Postaward contract management activities such as evaluating change orders, price adjustments, credit and rebate reconciliations, warranty requests and claims management
- Develop and implement supplier performance reviews to enhance working relationships and to drive continuous improvement using relevant key metrics such as safety, costs and schedule adherence)
- Interface with internal stakeholders to ensure overall governance and financial controls are met during the term of the contract
What You Bring to the Role:
- 5+ years of contract administration experience within a heavy industrial setting (e.g. oil & gas, chemicals, mining) is highly desired, combined with a university degree or related post-secondary education
- Experience utilizing internal and external data to create benchmarks and set targets for negotiation of new contracts, inclusive of defined price lists and rate sheets for goods, equipment and services
- Ability to develop effective negotiation strategies that achieve customer targets
- Experience with complex RFP processes as well as sole/single source negotiations
- Background in successful implementation of supplier KPI scorecards as part of a SRM process, with a proven track record of value creation
- Capability to understand and manage commercial risk, liability and legal terms and conditions
- Experience working in a crossfunctional environment and providing internal customer service
- Excellent communication skills, including business writing for an executive audience
