The Regional Education Consultant is a professional role model and resource person for nursing staff and other members of the health care team in supporting the development of policies and procedures that promote evidence-based practice.
In addition, the Consultant will also develop, support, implement and evaluate quality improvement initiatives based on both regional and provincial direction/requests.

- Rate of Pay: $44.78 per hour $55.98 per hourHours of Work: 37.
5 hours per week
Qualifications:
- Successful completion of a Master's Degree in a health discipline recognized under the Regulated Health Professions Act; Will consider those currently enrolled in a Master's program
- Current Certificate of Registration with applicable professional College recognized under the Regulated Health Professions Act
- Successful completion of the Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
- Successful completion of the Paediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) and Fetal Health Surveillance Instructor preferred
- Training in adult education preferred
- Current membership in professional specialty organization preferred
- Minimum five (5) years recent, related experience in a health care setting
- A valid Ontario driver's license (G class), use of a vehicle, and current insurance coverage
- Ability to travel within the Ontario Health West Region
- Advanced knowledge of and experience with professional practice and program development tools
- Strong leadership, interpersonal, team building and conflict management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to network effectively with other disciplines
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize fluctuating workload demands
- Advanced ability to assess clinical competency and facilitate development of learning plan
- Proficient Microsoft Office Skills as well as online literature searches
- Demonstrated practice and commitment to the principles of patient and family centered care
- Demonstrated practice and commitment to patient and staff safety at LHSC
- Demonstrated practice and commitment to LHSC's Mission, Vision and Values
- Demonstrated ability to attend work on a regular basis
Immunization Requirements:
- Provide vaccination records or proof of immunity against measles, mumps, rubella and varicella (chicken pox), Hepatitis B, Tetanus/ Diphtheria/Polio; Meningitis.
- Provide documentation of the Tuberculosis skin testing (two step) and COVID vaccine series.
