Stress Specialist

In your role, you will:

  • Perform structural analyses in static, fatigue and damage tolerance with conventional and computerassisted calculation methods
  • Support concept reviews and give recommendations to guide the design group
  • Guides product design and verifies structural integrity by using analytical methods, finite element models/simulations and other analysis tools throughout the product lifecycle to develop the structural environment, characteristics and performance
  • Develops test plans and configurations, supports test execution and analyzes/reports test results to validate and verify systems and components to meet requirements
  • Support internal/external design reviews, preliminary/critical design reviews (PDR / CDR) with Product Development Team's Customers

Qualifications

  • You have a University mechanical or civil or aerospace engineering degree with a minimum of 5 years relevant experience.
  • You have an experience in composite and metallic structures and their behavior
  • Knowledge of CATIA V5, finite element modeling and analysis with NASTRAN/PATRAN.
  • General computer skills are essential.
  • You must be a selfmotivated person, a team player able to work under pressure and under a minimum of supervision.
  • You must be able to read and write in English and have good communication skills.
  • Being completely bilingual (French and English) is an asset.
