Responsibilities:


  • Supervise and coordinate the settlement and case management teams
  • Assist in the hiring, training, and supervision of staff and volunteers
  • Ensure proper staffing of the settlement and case management teams
  • Responsible for approving timesheets and requests for time off
  • Participate in network meetings with government departments, community organizations and other service providers
  • Coordinate with community partners utilising existing partnerships and establish new connections with local service providers to effectively respond to refugees' needs
  • Contribute to the development of organizational frameworks in the following areas: standardize program outcomes, deliver quality and timely program outputs, research immigration trends and gaps
  • Monitor, collect, review, and prepare statistical and narrative reports ensuring accuracy through relevant databases and sources
  • Supervise administrative procedures to meet program objectives, HR policy, and Collective Agreement
  • Ensure that staff and volunteers follow proper professional and ethical conduct when dealing with clients, and offer guidance to ensure quality of service is maintained
  • Coach, motivate, and supervise staff performance and administer disciplinary action in a timely manner
  • Conduct performance reviews and take all needed actions to remedy identified issues
  • Facilitate regular staff meetings as needed
  • Prepare funding proposals as directed by the Program Manager
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:


  • University degree in Social Work, Management, Psychology, Adult Education, Counselling, or the equivalent combination of education and work experience
  • Certificate in project management or PMP designation would be an asset
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • At least three years' experience in the supervision of staff
  • Second language is an asset (French, Arabic, Swahili, Farsi, Dari, Pas
