Hours:
Flexible work schedule between 7:30 am and 5:30 pm, Monday to Friday. Occasional weekend or evenings may be required.

Compensation:
$22.05 per hour (inclusive of wage enhancements)

Nature & Scope:


Reporting directly to the Supervisor of School-Age Care, the Enhanced Support Worker collaborates with team members and Community Living Kingston to assist in supporting participants with special needs and the program as a whole.


Responsibilities:


  • Providing support to staff working with children with special needs
  • Providing oneonone support to children with special needs with a focus on inclusion
  • Acting in a manner that is consistent with the YMCA mission statement, YMCA policies and Ministry of Education requirements
  • Working collaboratively with staff team to provide a safe environment, where everyone has a sense of belonging

Qualifications:


  • Criminal Reference Check (CPIC) including Vulnerable Sector Check completed not more than 120 days prior to interview, with results acceptable to the YMCA of Eastern Ontario.
  • Current Standard First Aid and CPR C certifications
  • Up to date immunization record
  • Experience working with children ages years
  • Post Secondary education in Early Childhood Education, Autism, Behavioural Science, Child and Youth Work preferred
