The focus of the Dispatcher will be to ensure that all customers are provided with an uninterrupted supply of fuel and lubricants.

This is a key role coordinating the allocation of product, dispatching, and scheduling activities of the transport department across Western Canada, primarily in the Yukon, Northwest Territories, and Northern British Columbia.

Key responsibilities include:

Coordinate product, drivers, equipment and activities for Chieftain
Ensure drivers have necessary paperwork, instructions and contact information for deliveries
Communicate clearly and directly with customers and drivers on a daily basis
Continually optimize resource planning with demand for an effective and efficient operation
Maintain ongoing updates of electronic tracking calendar
Communicate with commercial group to ensure transparency and fulfillment of customer commitments
Ensure demand for product is met while monitoring driver hours to ensure maximum driver hours of service are not exceeded
Liaise with Maintenance to schedule and forecast shop maintenance and down time
Verify paperwork prior to submission to Finance
Liaise with Finance for inventory reconciliation and reporting and solving variances
Report daily to management with bulk fuel sales/purchases
Report daily to management with dispatch reports
Monitor internal fuel tank levels and dispatch fuel delivery orders

Qualifications/Conditions of Employment:

25 years' experience in logistics, fuel, or transportation
Proven record of safety and operational excellence
Maintain a valid Class 5 driver's license
Must be able to successfully complete all initial and recurrent training
Must be committed to excellence, professionalism, customer satisfaction and above all else safety and environmental stewardship
Maintain a high degree of professionalism with thirdparties; represent Chieftain Logistics as a company that values safety, professionalism and environmental stewardship
Must be a Canadian citizen, Permanent Resident or show proof of right to work in Canada
