Reporting to the Interim Chief Executive Officer, you will be a key member of Everest Insurance Company of Canada's ('EvCan', 'Company') underwriting leadership team.

Alongside your peers, you will foster a culture of underwriting excellence, entrepreneurship, transparency, collaboration, candor, and inclusiveness. You will lead and empower underwriting teams to execute on the Financial Lines department's strategic objectives. You will be instrumental in maintaining excellent distribution relationships and driving the profitable growth of Everest's Financial Lines portfolios.

OBJECTIVE:

Develop and drive all aspects of Everest's Financial Lines strategies and business plans.
Profitably scale existing Management Liability and Financial Institutions business. Work with Canadian leadership and Global Product leaders to identify opportunities to expand Financial Lines product suite and penetration into the Canadian market.
Build and lead a team of underwriting managers, underwriters, and underwriting assistants to execute on strategic objectives, including portfolio optimization and continued profitable growth through the underwriting cycle.
Assist in developing a distribution and gotomarket strategy for Everest's Financial Lines products, maintaining and expanding existing broker relationships, developing new relationships where this is consistent with the objectives of the business plan.
Ensure good governance and quality of underwriting is upheld by managing Financial Lines audits.
Liaise with Head of Claims on claims related issues and participate in account and portfolio reviews. Contribute to the regular analysis and review of underwriting practices and procedures, updating and revising as necessary.
