About the Position_**:

The Facilities Maintenance Technician position is responsible for performing a wide variety of special projects, equipment, building and ground maintenance tasks as assigned by the Facilities Maintenance Supervisor.

The position also requires the following proficiencies:

Timely fabrication of special projects, production equipment repairs, jigs, fixtures, devices, shadow boards, visual displays, storage solutions, work stations, etc. as required
Responsible for timely and costeffective maintenance, repair, upgrade, and modification of building, grounds, parking lot, and yard.
Responsible for general preventative maintenance of all production equipment, tools, mobile equipment, and material handling devices
Advising Facilities Maintenance Supervisor of any operational deviation(s) found.
Timely execution of maintenance activities as identified by work orders.
Traceable filing of accurately completed equipment registers and work orders.
Identification of tools and materials required to execute maintenance, repair, overhaul, upgrade and modification, including local travel to local suppliers to pick up tools and materials
Other duties as assigned

Five (5) + years' experience working within a facility maintenance or building management role an asset
Fall-Arrest and Working at Heights experience is an asset
Forklift and Overhead Crane & Slinging experience an asset.
