- Collaborate effectively with subject matter experts and team members to create, review, and refine materials, valuing their insights, expertise, and diverse perspectives.
- Create interactive and stimulating learning experiences by applying adult learning principles such as:
- Recognizing learners' prior knowledge and skills
- Sequencing content logically
- Incorporating experiential and interactive training methods
- Assisting learners in applying training content to their roles
- Offering contextualized practice and evaluation opportunities
- Identify and implement tactics to facilitate knowledge transfer before, during, and after formal training sessions.
- Ensure the accuracy of training materials and their alignment with defined competency standards.
- Create and publish supplementary training materials using clear and concise language.
- Conduct course testing with the appropriate audience.
- Undertake other duties as assigned by the L&D Senior Manager to meet business requirements.
- Support in maintaining the content and structure of LMS offerings
- Generate and update system reports as needed
- Stay informed about the implications of future LMS vendor releases and updates
- Address and resolve employee queries efficiently
- Three to four years of progressive learning and development experience, with a preference for a background in a retail environment
- Proficiency in applying adult education principles to e-learning course design and development
- A degree in instructional design, education, or related field
- Demonstrated ability to manage relationships across the organization, adapting to changing priorities
- Thorough grasp of pedagogy and instructional design principles
- Track record of creating courses for a blended training approach
- Capability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Learning Management Systems (experience with Cornerstone is advantageous but not mandatory), Articulate 360 (Storyline, Rise), Canva
- Ability to excel in a dynamic, fast-paced work environment
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Keen attention to detail
