Reporting to the Chief Sustainability Officer, you will be responsible for implementing Triovest's environmental, social and governance (ESG) reporting and disclosures in our developments, owned and managed assets, and internal operations.

In this role you will also engage with external clients, employees, tenants, and suppliers, among others, promoting Triovest Sustainability Solutions (TSS) to secure projects and to pilot and scale solutions that reduce risk, capture opportunity, and strengthen Triovest's leadership reputation.

WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING?

Reporting & Disclosure

  • Experience in developing and managing sustainability reporting and communications in accordance with global sustainability reporting frameworks (e.g. GRI, TCFD, UN SDGs).
  • Support annual Sustainability discourse to GRESB, as well as other external disclosures against Triovest's sustainability commitments, with a focus on ownership of Triovest's ESG strategy and plans.
  • Oversee TCFD disclosure, greenhouse gas (GHG) emission reporting and data management and assurance.
  • Interpret and translate implications of green building certifications and targets into strategic information processes and actionable building management metrics.
  • Manage Triovest's clients and investors data requests on sustainability disclosurerelated matters.
  • Lead the collection of sustainability stories, qualitative and quantitative information for the company's annual sustainability report, GRESB submission, PRI and other reporting activity. Communicate results to properties and other stakeholders.
  • Mentor and upskill junior team members engaged in sustainability reporting activities and ESG data management.
  • Maintain key relationships and accounts, facilitating the development of our client's sustainability programs.

Green Building Certifications & Data Management

  • Manage the property implementation process for new and existing thirdparty standards and certifications (LEED, BOMA BEST, WELL, Fitwel, Wiredscore, Energy Star, Living Building Challenge, etc.)
  • Manage the collection and maintenance of ESG data systems, including energy, water, waste, certification and award databases and the review and analysis of sustainabilityrelated data (e.g., emission inventories, utility consumption, waste production, building certifications, and sustainabilityrelated activities) and maintain indicator protocols to ensure data consistency preparing for audit/assurance.
  • Support with the development of client engagement deliverables including reporting, workshop material, engagement presentations, training, and summary reports.

To fulfill this role successfully, you should demonstrate the following minimum qualifications:

  • A degree in a relevant field of study (Sustainability, Environment, Climate Change) with a post-graduate degree is considered a strong asset.
  • 510 years of progressive experience leading and executing corporate sustainability initiatives, preferably in the commercial real estate industry.
  • Expert level familiarity with GRESB key performance indicators with the ability to lead Triovest's annual GRESB submission.
  • Expert level understanding of the TCFD, GRI, GRESB and other sustainability reporting frameworks.
  • Masterslevel sustainabilityrelated training, LEED AP, Licensed Professional Engineer, Certified Engineering Technologist, and/or Certified Energy Manager is an asset.
  • Familiarity with asset management (real estate, forestry, and agriculture) and insurance is helpful.
  • Strong knowledge of the current and possible future trends and practices in real estate and green building certifications including LEED, BOMA BEST, WELL, Fitwel, Wiredscore, Energy Star, Living Building Challenge, etc.
