Within our Analytical Services team, we have a functional service provider solution, which is a unique partnership that allows our customers to leverage the experience of our staff, while allowing you, the employee, to gain direct experience working onsite at a pharmaceutical/ biopharmaceutical company, all while maintaining full-time benefits.

Additional responsibilities for the role onsite at a major biopharmaceutical company:

  • Manage Empower system infrastructure including, databases, testing nodes equipment, firewalls and other software and hardware
  • Monitor the systems daily and respond quickly to any down nodes or usability concerns through Citric Director and SolarWinds.
  • Manage users, Empower systems and account creation and modification across client sites through IDM systems and GXPLearn.
  • Update CMDB for LACE data maintenance collection and configuration management
  • Oversee Empower systems and instruments configuration and manage all required documentation in accordance with the guideline and policies.
  • Collaborate with vendor to resolve technical problems with new or existing configuration.
  • Create weekly and quarterly reports on Empower users, incidents and tasks
  • Quarterly User Account maintenance and reconciliation
  • Coordinate and manage Empower System Configuration and setup
  • Coordinated and conducted the FR5 account creation and account reconciliation respectively.
  • Manage the Edmonton integration and configuration of different instruments from different vendors such as Agilent, Waters and Thermo.
  • Coordinate and manage LACE configuration using Solarwinds
  • Review Role Based Access control(RBAC) for Empower users and oversee account creation, authentication and Authorization in IDM.
  • Test new configuration scenarios for various Operating Systems, Data Bases and Citrix versions.
  • Willingness to be available to travel as necessary to meet business requirements.
  • Build knowledge base on known issues with certain configurations and their workaround.
  • Work with End Users and System managers to understand incidents and provide corrective actions.
  • Developing SOPs/Work Instructions and Business Process flows for each system,interfaces, and combination of systems.
  • Providing weekly status reports to the client technical Manager.

Education and Experience:


  • BS degree in Computer Science or related area, or an equivalent combination of education, professional training and experience that provide the individual with the required knowledge, skills, and abilities (3+ years experience) in System Administration supporting a networked server environment

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Demonstrated ability to solve complex system and technical problems.
  • Must be able to multi task and pay close attention to detail
