Position Overview:


We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Service Assistant to join our Vancouver Island Service Department at our Parksville office.

Working closely with our Island Service Manager, this position offers an opportunity to learn and excel at a wide array of administrative and inventory related tasks.

This job is quite varied and will be a little bit different every day.


Primary Job Functions

  • Counting inventory inside of vehicles, and then reconciling discrepancies;
  • Assisting in quoting service jobs, including obtaining pricing and ordering parts;
  • Tracking parts and issuing purchase orders for approved work;
  • Managing inventory;
  • Driving vans for the purposes of parts pickups, deliveries and vehicle maintenance;
  • Assist in scheduling and coordinating maintenances, quoted jobs, out of town work, etc.
  • Other duties as needed

Skills / Competencies

  • Must be proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and computer savvy;
  • Must have valid BC Driver's License
  • Possesses strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Stays organized and accurate
  • Experience with inventory an asset
  • 45 WPM typing speed

Job Types:
Full-time, Permanent


Salary:
$20.00-$24.00 per hour
