Role


Reporting to the AVP, Creditor and Affinity and Association, the Client Relationship Manager (CRM) is responsible for the overall client experience, sales and profitability for an assigned client block.

In this role, you will interact with plan sponsors, consultants, and other partners to promote our products, tools, and services.

You will manage changes in plans, negotiating renewals and education requests.

You will work effectively with other teams across the organization to drive strategic revenue generation and new business opportunities, promoting new products and services, and maintaining financial stability of the plan.

The CRM will participate in formal and informal presentations promoting our capabilities and services to both new and existing clients, as well as generally within the consulting and advisor community.


Responsibilities:

Build strong client relationships that will be measured through client retention, client satisfaction, and profitability
Create and deliver business plans for key clients and large implementations
Build sponsor understanding of our tools and services to ensure clients are receiving optimal value and realizing potential benefits
Manage escalated requests effectively and efficiently
Run presentations and new products/services promotions to boost sales growth
Educate clients on administrative and legislative processes and requirements such as federal and provincial legislative changes and evolving technological enhancements
Work collaboratively with internal partners with respect to pricing, renewals, plan changes, administration, and marketing

Qualifications / Skills and Experience

5+ years of experience in the group insurance industry
Excellent verbal and written communicator and demonstrated ability to present effectively
Strong negotiating and influencing skills
Self-starter with the ability to manage work with limited direction
Proven problem-solving capability, with the ability to think creatively, satisfy client demands and propose solutions
Customer-focused mindset with an ability to build and nurture long-standing relationships with clients, partners, and peers
Ability to make sound decisions balancing business and customer needs
Solid knowledge of PowerPoint, Word, Excel
Some travel expected, must have a valid driver's license
