Job Purpose


As Facilities Management, Senior Manager, you will lead the management of Compugen's Facilities across Canada and the Facilities Operations team.

This role will be a blend of strategic planning and operational execution.

You will be key in developing the annual facilities plan and long-range facilities strategy while managing Compugen's Real Estate portfolio implementing our Modern Workplace philosophy.

You will manage facilities security solutions and lead operational enhancements.

This position reports to the Chief Financial Officer and supports the Senior Executive team in making real estate and operational decisions that will ensure the support and wellbeing of the organization.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Managing the Facilities Operations team nationally and coordinating activities to achieve operational efficiencies while adhering to the strategic plans of Compugen. Analyzing needs and directing changes as required.
  • Increasing the Facilities Operations team's effectiveness. This includes aligning responsibilities, cross training individuals, building communication strategies and objectives, and implementing a national approach to supporting all branches and staff equally.
  • Supporting a healthy work environment consistent with all Workplace Safety requirements including furniture layout, internal heating and cooling.

- develop policies in line with Hybrid work that enables a supportive work environment.

  • Establishing strategic initiatives and financial objectives including the gathering of pertinent real estate, business, financial and operations information, to adequately forecast Compugen's annual Corporate Budget (Facilities Operations) and tactically plan/forecast the yearly Capital Expenditure budget as it relates to facility change.
  • Leading Sustainability initiatives in our internal usage of energy throughout all our facilities and our recycling programs
  • Implementing a national standard of documentation, including policies, procedures, guidelines, rules and regulations as it relates to Facilities Operations so staff and branches can operate efficiently, resolving specific operational issues, as a means of minimizing risk and cost exposure.
  • Developing and implementing a national maintenance program to minimize unplanned expenses and proactively identify corrective actions by maintaining accurate records for all facilities equipment, systems and reoccurring issues.
  • Managing all supplier/ service provider relationships including regular contract reviews and conducting a biannual tender process for national providers.
  • Act as Assistant Security Officer supporting the Vice President of Information Technology and Compugen on physical security protocol, policy and procedures. Working with auditors, clients and experts in security planning and change management.
  • Identifying physical security risks and establishing a national security strategy through the implementation of standards around physical security, designing a national Security solution that ties all Compugen facilities together, allowing centralized administration, change management, monitoring and control.
  • Acting as a key member in the development and management of:
  • Contingency Planning
  • Emergency Evacuation Planning
  • Crisis Management
  • National Health and Safety management team
  • Performing strategic business planning of national facility solutions and recommendations based on real estate in Compugen's existing and future business regions including new facility acquisition planning and facility opportunities.
  • Managing all facility planning, design, construction and move projects.
  • Managing all national location Leases
  • Acting as Tenant representative and Landlord for all Real Estate
  • Development and negotiations of Offer and Leases
  • Development and implementation of a national image, based on design of modern workspace in all Compugen facilities
  • Change management related to Facilities, Facilities Operations and new process implementation.
  • Contribute to the reduction of the company's carbon footprint and participate in other environmental initiatives.
