Securiguard, Canada's provider of corporate security, is seeking Security Supervisor for sites in the BC Interior Remote Camp (Blue River, BC).


Hours of work:12-hour shifts, 14 shifts on 14 shifts off


Wages:

starting at
$322 per shift (based on a 12-hour shifts)
plus traveling allowance (flat rate $18/per an hour), meals and accommodations.

As a Security Supervisor, you'll be responsible for leading and motivating a team of security officers and ensuring site coverage and the integrity of emergency response.


Leading my example, you will also ensure the professionalism and deportment of security officers on site, including coaching, mentoring, and training, and performance management.


In this role, you will be working in an industrial environment, supporting a large and exciting critical infrastructure project in a remote area.

You'll be dedicated to safety and maintaining a safe work environment for all by following and enforcing all safety protocols, ensuring all team members have valid and up-to-date safety orientations, and identifying and reporting any hazards.


  • Valid BC Security License
  • Class 5 Driver's License with a clean driving abstract and claims history
  • Occupational First Aid Level
  • At least 1 year of experience in the private security sector
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with demonstrated experience in preparing security reports
  • Ability to lead the team in emergency situations in a firm, confident manner
  • Strong communicator with assertive interpersonal skills, sensitivity and the ability to motivate a team
  • Positive and professional attitude, with the ability to deescalate situations and maintain a customer service demeaner
  • Must have excellent customer service skills and work well in fast paced environment
  • Must be able to pass a preemployment drug screening test
  • Must be comfortable working in a wilderness setting for extended periods of time
  • Must be able to work a 12hour shift (day or night), with full time availability
  • Proficient with MS Office and comfortable with using computers

A bonus if you have:


  • Previous experience supervising a team
  • Supervising for Safety Ticket
  • Pipeline Construction Safety Training
  • CIVEO Orientation, SMJV Orientation, TM Ops Orientation (or willingness to get all 3 prior to starting work in a Supervisor's role)
  • Experience working in an Industrial security environment, with knowledge of relevant Health & Safety Protocols and WorkSafe BC Regulations
